  1. Whisk melted butter and sugar together in a bowl.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  3. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
  4. Grease the pot and pour in the batter.
  5. Bake at 325°F for 35–40 minutes, until the top is set and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Let cool completely before cutting; they firm up as they cool.

Notes

For extra fudginess, pull them a few minutes early.

Add 1/2 cup chocolate chips to the batter for a more intense chocolate flavor.
