Brownies
Rich, fudgy brownies with a crackly top.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
Instructions
- Whisk melted butter and sugar together in a bowl.
- Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
- Grease the pot and pour in the batter.
- Bake at 325°F for 35–40 minutes, until the top is set and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely before cutting; they firm up as they cool.
Notes
For extra fudginess, pull them a few minutes early.
Add 1/2 cup chocolate chips to the batter for a more intense chocolate flavor.
