Steamed Broccoli
Perfectly tender-crisp broccoli in minutes using the steam function.
Ingredients
- 1 lb broccoli florets
- 1 cup water
- Salt and pepper
- Lemon juice or butter for serving
Instructions
- Add 1 cup of water to the pot and place the steam rack or basket inside.
- Arrange broccoli florets on the rack in an even layer.
- Close the lid and steam for 2–3 minutes (0 minutes at pressure if using pressure steam; the come-up time is enough).
- Quick release and remove broccoli immediately.
- Season with salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon or pat of butter.
Notes
For softer broccoli, steam for 4–5 minutes. Be careful not to overcook; it goes from perfect to mushy quickly.
