Boiled Eggs - 5/5/5 Method
Perfect pressure cooker eggs every time.
Ingredients
- Eggs (as many as you like)
- 1 cup water
- Ice bath (bowl of ice water)
Instructions
- Place a trivet or steamer basket in the pot. Add 1 cup of water.
- Place eggs on the trivet. It's fine to stack them.
- Pressure cook on high for 4-5 minutes.
- Quick-release the pressure (note: at least for me, it takes about 5 minutes for the pressure to release).
- Transfer eggs to an ice bath for 5 minutes.
- Peel and enjoy.
Notes
The 5/5/5 method works for large eggs straight from the fridge, and eggs will be hard boiled but not rubbery at 5 minutes of cook time. For a slightly creamier yolk, cook for 4 minutes. For soft-boiled eggs, try 3 minutes or less.
